Heritage Vision Plans is a national vision benefits provider with more than 50 years of experience and a network of over 31,000 participating eye care professionals across all 50 states. The company maintains a 95% client retention rate and delivers flexible, affordable vision plans to organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. Its website serves as the central platform for members, employers, agents, and providers to review benefits, access enrollment resources, and locate participating providers.
The Heritage Vision Plans website was designed by build/create, and I developed it on WordPress. I implemented a custom theme with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), custom post types, and modular templates to manage content for services, provider listings, and plan details.
A key feature is the custom “Find a Provider” tool, which integrates Google Maps with dynamic location-based filtering and custom marker rendering, enabling members to easily search the national provider network. I also built interactive enhancements in custom JavaScript, including form validation, scroll behavior, and session-based UI features, to improve usability and create a smoother user experience across devices.
The result is a professional, scalable platform that communicates Heritage Vision Plans’ nationwide services clearly while providing members, agents, providers and clients with intuitive tools to manage their vision care.
