The White Dress
The White Dress is a Michigan-based bridal boutique that focuses on making the wedding dress experience feel special from the very beginning. They hand select gowns so that only beautiful, stylish dresses make it into the showroom. The boutique keeps the layout open and simple, with no crowded racks or hidden styles. The staff are called Style Experts, and they care about helping each bride find a dress she truly loves. Private fitting rooms, refreshments, and a comfortable setting are all part of the experience. The boutique has been widely recognized in the bridal industry, including being named a “Best of Weddings” winner on The Knot thirteen times.
The White Dress’s wedding dress gallery gives brides a clear, browsable catalog of gowns, complete with filters by silhouette, price, fabric, and style. I built this so users can narrow down dresses that fit their taste and budget, then click through to view full details.
The Wishlist feature lets brides save favorites using their email. They can return later and review their chosen gowns in one place. I tied the wishlist directly into the product listings, so it feels seamless with the rest of the browsing experience.
The Silhouette Quiz helps users discover flattering dress silhouettes based on a few questions. I implemented the quiz logic so answers map to recommended styles, and linked the suggestions back into the gallery so brides see dresses tailored to their profile.
The designs were by build/create, and my role was turning those visual layouts into a functional WordPress site. I used filters, custom post types, ajax and frontend features to make the experience feel intuitive and responsive across all devices.
